SUMMARY
Descend into a breathtaking alien ocean and uncover secrets lost for over 11,000 years. In Sinking Eternity, you awaken from cryosleep entirely alone on a small island with no memory of your past. Your only guide is the distant echo of an ancient mystery waiting to be uncovered deep beneath the waves. To survive and discover the truth, you must dive into a vast, beautiful, and highly atmospheric underwater world.
The gameplay loop feels great, tasking you with swimming through the ocean depths to gather essential materials before returning to your island base to craft survival gear. Managing your oxygen levels adds a fantastic layer of tension, as it depletes quickly when you’re exploring. While the shallow waters are filled with peaceful creatures roaming the sea floor, the real danger begins as you dive deeper. The further down you go, the more hostile and terrifying the marine life becomes, making every deep-sea excursion a high-stakes mission.

PERFORMANCE
From a technical standpoint, the game runs incredibly well. Performance was flawless, comfortably reaching a smooth 100 FPS at 4K resolution across most areas of the map. Combined with intuitive controls and a straightforward, accessible crafting system, this solo-developed indie title offers a polished and immersive experience right from the start.
My only real critique is that I wish the demo was a bit longer, but that is definitely to be expected for an early preview and just has me looking forward to the full release even more.
